Greg's "big" trip to Kansas

A couple of weeks ago Greg and I were eating dinner when I made a silly comment about "when is your next trip?". Little did I know, the next day Greg would find out he's been scheduled for 2 different trips back to back.

This week he is calling Kansas City, Kansas home....... and could be calling it home for good. Greg applied today for the Branch Manager position that is currently open there. We won't know anything for a week or two, so please keep us in your prayers that this comes through and he gets the job. I feel asleep last thinking how great it would be to have an actual "white" christmas this year.... Could it be possible???? Only time will tell.

We have a very busy year coming up (my parents 50th wedding anniversary in April, 2- nieces graduating from college, a niece that is getting married in July, and did I mention a family reunion at some point...

So as I ramble on.... my excitment about this possiblity only grows... I just can't imagine being so close to "home" again.

Remember to keep us in your prayers this week, and we'll keep you all posted in the weeks to come.

Love,
G & T and the furbabies !!!

The Big Weekend

Well after months of waiting this past weekend finally arrived. Yes, I'm talking about the Kenny Chesney Concert. This year he performed at Reliant Stadium ( where the Texan's play) - an it was amazing !!!!!
Greg, Tom and I started the day off by meeting up around 7:00am, to load up Tom's truck with all the fixin's for a great Tail Gate Party. We pulled into Reliant around 8:00am- to find ourselves to be the second car in line to enter the parking lot. (what an exciting moment that was) The gate keepers were very nice that morning and opened the gates about 20 minutes early. We entered the parking lot and scoped out the best possible location for our "day camp". We found a rather nice spot right along the tree line, in hopes for a little extra shade for the mid-August day !!!! We set up "camp", introduced our selves to our "neighbors" we like to call the "jello-shot bunch" and settled in for a very long, hot afternoon in the parking lot.
Little did we know we would be experiencing a major down pour of Houston rain. We still had a great time. After the rain stopped, it was time to get things cleaned up and packed away. After all we were there to see Kenny and his friends. The concert began around 4:00pm and finally Kenny took the stage around 9:00pm. It was probably on of the better shows I've seen him put on. Oh, did I mention I got my picture taken with Luke Bryan along with his autograph. ( I know your thinking who is Luke Bryan- don't worry so was I when it all happened.) He was the opening act for the concert, and I must say he did a really good job. I think he has a couple songs out on the radio now.
Below are a few photos of our great day with Kenny !!!!!! I hope everyone is doing well. Greg and I have been busy with work and keeping up with our furbabies. Stay tuned for more postings this week. It's late, and I have to get up bright and early in the morning.
Lots of love,Greg and Tina

Greg is making friends- this was taken while we were waiting in line to get into the parking lot. (Tom's truck is the Red one with the door open- 2nd in line )
