Happy Father's Day

A Be-lated Happy Father's Day to all those amazing Dad's in our lives. We love you more than words can say !!!

Summertime Fun in Texas

Can you say HOT, HOT.... it's not even July and we've already broken a few records with the tempatures this year.  It seems every year the heat gets worse and more unbareable. Of course I'm pretty sure the unbareable part is that we are home bound and inside by 10:30 everyday.  Makes for some very long days in the house.  We've spent several mornings splashing around at Sea World with some of our friends, which is great. Burns off the energy of the kiddo's and we all get a little cooling off in the water. (thanks to the kiddo's)
First corn on the cob. And he sort of liked it..... This happened to be Mother's Day, and the corn was so sweet for so early in the season.
My assisant in the kitchen. Taste testing some homemade whip cream. I guessing it was up to his standards. Only complaint, there were only 2 beaters to lick !!!
Having a little fun with some water balloons.
At the beginning of June, I went on a retreat with our MOPS group for the weekend. (first night EVER spent away from Hunter) I had a tough time with it, but the boys did great !!!! They ventured to Home Depot for the Kids Workshop and built and little storage box, then went and found some trains and planes. Although, Hunter had a rough night ( got up 3 times) or should I say Daddy had a rough night, it was a good weekend for all.
A few weeks ago we hosted a playdate at our house, I put Hunter on "water" duty, expecting him to fill the pools. But this is what I found instead. He was watering down his swing set. Crazy kid !!!! I'm thinking a fireman in training at this point.
Being silly
I just LOVE this picture..... for a couple of reasons. Hunter is wearing my favorite shirt, and he looks so grown up. When did that happen?
To help fill in some of our down time in the afternoons, we started working with Hunter on using a computer program called ABCmouse.com. He loves it, and does pretty well with it. This was his first lesson on using the mouse. Crazy to think that a two year can navigate his way around a computer, almost better than his mommy !
After 2 1/2 months, 3 failed deliveries and  1 lost delivery. Hunter FINALLY got his swing set !!!! And what a happy day that was. We had a guy named Joe put it together for us, and to this day (over a month) Hunter still talks about how "joe fixed park" Yes, baby. Joe did fix your park for you !!!!!
This past weekend we spent with Greg's boss and his family enjoying the cool water at a wonderful resort here in San Antonio. Several times, I had to remind myself that I was still in San Antonio and not on some beautiful island out in the middle of no where. They had a great area for the kid's, along with a lazy river to float, another giant pool and the "dream pool" for just adults over looking the golf course. ( maybe someday) then in the evenings there was a hugh fire pit for roasting s'mores. Such a great time. Thank so much to the Jewett Family for including us !!!
 My little cutie pie !!!
 Having fun
Painting with some of our play group buddies. The kids had such a great time getting messy, then running through the sprinkler to get cleaned up.
Hunter and Madalynn having fun in the kiddie pool this past weekend.  Our little fearless wonder, rode a giant water slide with me, laughing all the way down. Then at the bottom our tube flipped over and we both went under. He came up asking for more, and  I came up coughing and calling "uncle"

We will be leaving for Chicago in a week and half. And are so looking forward to spending time with family and friends and the cooler weather. !!!!

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer and staying cool !!!
