Way Behind

21 Months and a Big Ho Ho Ho...

It's crazy how fast this past month has passed by us. With the Holiday hustle and bustle, a visit from Grandma Rose and wham the month is gone. I hardly have had the time to think about the milestones that we've reached this past month. In a nut shell, each day brings a new word ( or attempt of a word), something new to climb on, throw, toss, roll, bounce or kick.... I'm sure you get where I'm heading with that one. Everyday is a new adventure with an active toddler, who only seems to be satisfied if he's on the go. Hunter discovered that dipping his food in something like ketchup or gravy makes everything better. He really gobbled up his turkey with the help of gravy and now loves fish sticks with ketchup.

After 3 different attempts at getting family pictures done professionally we had to settle on a "DIY" kind of photo for The Garvey family Christmas card. The dogs were an added bonus this year, seems the only attention they get now a days is after Hunter goes to bed and we've settled down for a little TV, so we couldn't deny them a little love.
We took Hunter to Bass Pro Shop to see Santa, but the line was a mile long (literally) and it was getting close to dinner time, so we decided to wander around and check out all the cool Holiday stuff. Of course Daddy had to have the little man test drive a really nice boat ( in honor of Gpa Garvey)  Hunter really liked this one.....
We would like to introduce the newest member of our family "Elfy". Elfy is our version of the Christmas tradition known as "The Elf on the Shelf". Elfy arrived on December 1st from the North Pole, to help Santa keep a close eye on Hunter and make sure he stays on the "good list"  Each morning we play a little game of "Where is Elfy" Although, I'm pretty sure Hunter doesn't get the whole meaning of this or Santa. He does like to look for Elfy and gets really excited when he sees Santa. ( As long as Santa is NO where near him) Hunter will even stop (for a split second) if you say " Elfy is going to tell Santa, that you're not being very nice" Elfy is even going to make the BIG trip to Colorado, sure hope it keeps this toddler in check while at Grandma and Grandpa's.... (big dreams I know)
The next Tiger Woods......  Daddy and Hunter had a little golf lesson in the back yard a few weeks ago. I'm not holding my breathe for a million dollar golfer. Pretty sure the way he throws a ball, I'm going with a Baseball player.
Just had to share this photo with you all, we went to check on Hunter before we went to bed and this is how we found him. Passed out cold !!!!!! The sound of us laughing and the flash from the camera didn't even wake him up. Crazy kid !!
Happy Thanksgiving ( a little late) This is how Hunter watched his first parade. His favorite parts were all the big balloons and the marching bands. On a side note Hunter is 24 1/2 pounds and almost 33 inches tall. Some new words this month are: Thank you, up, down, No, and yes (with a head nod) and the making's of the word Don't. We went on a couple new adventures this past month,  Build a Bear and the movie theater. Pictures coming soon !!!

Happy Holidays from Texas !!
